Earth is about 6,000 years old according to the Jewish calendar, and according to revelations by Jesus Christ.
Humanity has never had a stupid caveman phase. We’ve always had a similar range of intelligence. It’s just that with education, generational progress, and iteration, our knowledge has grown exponentially.
(That doesn’t discount that at some point some individuals hung out in caves and drew on the walls.)
What about the light from stars taking inconceivable lightyears of time to reach us on Earth?
Based on the measurement of light we can calculate distance from distant solar systems in lightyears. The Alpha Centauri solar system is believed to be the closest to ours, with one of its planets around 4.2 lightyears from our sun. Other stars have far greater measured distances. After God created Earth, how is it possible that thousands and millions of lightyears transpired before the light reaches us here on Earth if the earth is only about 6,000 years old? The answer is simply that Creation is a miracle of God, and why should a miracle have any boundaries? Why should God’s power have any limit? If God wanted the light to appear instantly, He could. We are told by Moses in Genesis 1:3, God said “Let there be light”, and there was light. On Creation Day 4 out of 6 we are told in Genesis 1:16, He made the stars.
The scientific community has a faith problem. It has faith in publicity based on faulty equations that interpolate or stretch the time variable, which lead to inflated estimations in carbon dating. That’s why carbon dating is more accurate for recent history (testing some material that is 20 years old, 50 years old, 100 years old) but the results go bonkers the older the relic is. It also has generally an atheist / agnostic approach that lends itself to bias toward theories of creation that discount or preclude the Biblical accounts of God’s Creation of Earth and Humans. Thus, we have a biased, subjective entry point for knowledge that simply gets it wrong, in the name of science.
Evolutionary biology doesn’t appreciate the miraculous power of God. Rather, when you study it (unprovable) and contrast with the Biblical accounts of Genesis, it would be at odds with a notion of the unlimited power of God, whose acts of Creation are de facto miracles.
Thankfully, we have proof of God in people who have had near death experiences and been brought back to life after dying. We have proof of God in devout people, and even occasional miraculous healings in the current era. We have proof of God from Catholic priest exorcists who, already being “men of God” get insights into reality that only a spiritual technician would.
