Don’t Believe in Extraterrestrial Aliens

book cover

Professor Daniel O’Connor published a book in 2023, Only Man Bears His Image, available on Amazon. The subtitle to the book tells you what this 758 page compendium is about: The Biblical, Catholic, & Scientific Case Against Aliens, UFO Deceptions, Sentient AI, and Other Sci-Fi Disguised Demons & Psyops Heralding the Antichrist.

The Biblical truth that you get out of it, is that God made angels. Some angels rebelled, introducing the concept of evil. God then made hell for the fallen angels. Then He made what we call Creation, or a dimension lower than Heaven, and then on the 6th day of Creation, He made Humans.

As one third of the angels rebelled from having been fashioned in perfection, God is replacing those fallen angels with Humans who out of imperfection choose to seek His true Good. So with this purpose and this “origin story”, there are no other intelligent beings created by God in His image, as we are told he made us, in the book of Genesis.

Only Man Bears His Image amounts to a super thorough treatment of practically every case where a person might be led to believe in aliens, with sections on ‘what about Hollywood CGI’, ‘what about demons’, ‘what about a conspiracy utilizing artificial intelligence’ and so on. He covers UFO cults, so-called abductions, science-fiction, and modern day science.

He states, “Freely use this book as a reference, and begin reading it at any chapter.”

Oh, but doesn’t the Bible contain the word “aliens”? Yes, that refers to foreigners, or non-Jews.

But could aliens be foreshadowed in the Bible? In the book of Revelations – okay, it’s a confusing and highly symbolic book – here is a particular verse of note, written by Saint John the Apostle.

He writes in Revelation 16:13

Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Saint Paul wrote in 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2, that at the time of the antichrist, there would be a mass deception. Starting with verse 9:

9. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,

10. and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

11. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

12. and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Therefore, be wise in the assertion that there is no such thing as an extraterrestrial alien. If you see anything nuts like this in your lifetime, be strong in your Christian faith, and try to save your friends and family from the deception. The first preparation for survival is spiritual, not physical. Seek the mercy of Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and work on being and staying sinless.

In Revelation 3:10 Jesus promises some that they will be rescued from ‘the hour of testing’. Hope in faith for such a rescue, and don’t give into evil.
